Malibu West volunteer fire brigade

Volunteer Fire Brigade

The Woolsey Fire was our wake-up call, destroying 26 neighborhood homes and killing 2 beloved members. After the Woolsey Fire, it reminded us to proactively ensure fire safety and maintain defensible space around our common areas. The Malibu West Fire Brigade was reactivated from the few original members.

To this day, there are over 30 members actively training and certified by the Los Angeles County Sheriff Arson Watch. The Fire Brigade currently has over 13 Fire Boxes throughout the neighborhood. These boxes are maintained by the Brigade and kept current with supplies.
